Thank You Asheville!
Dear Friends:
It is hard to believe that only one week ago we were sitting at Laurey's eating pancakes. Our community has shown incredible support for our friend Henry Thome and his parents, Adam and Emily. We served thousands of pancakes and raised an amazing $18,000, which will help ease the financial burdens the Thomes are facing over the next several months. We continue to be amazed at the support of our incredible community. Your generosity has made a real difference in the life of a young boy struggling to overcome an acute illness.

As you may have heard, this has been a very challenging week for Henry and his family. Henry is at Duke where he received a bone marrow transplant. Although we were all very hopeful for a positive outcome, the transplant was unsuccessful. It is not certain what the course of Henry's medical treatment will be, but he is looking ahead to months of continued care.
Although we are all disappointed at this turn of events, we remain confident for Henry's future and committed as a community to his care. Thank you for sharing this journey with Henry, Adam and Emily.
Sincerely,
Lisa Eby
